Excellent hotel
The location was very safe and away from the busy parts of Delhi. There wasn't a lot to do around the area so you need to get a taxi around but we preferred that and had deliberately booked this hotel for the location.. We booked a taxi on our first day and he gave us a good deal to hire him for the entire day ($50 aud). The pool was clean and huge but perhaps a little cold. The food was good and staff at breakfast bought us over some dosa which we didn't ask for and would not have tried but I'm glad they did because it was delicious! The gym facilities were also good and I liked it how staff provided cold bottled water when you were at the pool. We had a butler as part of Taj Club room. While we were out , he took our wet swimwear and washed it all! So kind.
We had Taj club access which was great. We enjoyed the afternoon tea. We did not realise when we booked Taj club that it is only for people over 25 so we were not able to take our children in which meant only myself or my husband could go. It would have been good if children were allowed for say the first hour or in a different section which is what other club access rooms have done while we have travelled. The staff were wonderful though and did offer to send food up to the room for the children if me and my husband wanted to go but we didn't feel comfortable with that. The pool was a little too cold.
